Ceramic Fiber Blanket--The Project Transformation of Steel Ladle Insulation
In February 2016, Rosewool Insulation Refractory Co.,Ltd. signed a long-term cooperation agreement in thermal energy conservation with a company in Jiangsu . In March 2016, when ceramic fiber blanket materials got preparation, Rosewool Insulation Refractory Co.,Ltd. began to conduct the iron ladle insulation and renovation project.

Iron and steel ladle use new structure of lightweight insulation materials :
1.Insulation layer structure: 30mm ceramic fiber blanket +2 layer 5mm  nano composite reflective insulation board. Nano-composite reflective insulation board is in the outermost layer, directly contact with the iron ladle and steel ladle. 2. Permanent layer structure: use 20mm thick round steel tube
3. Working layer structure: 50mm abrasion and erosion resistant castable. The fixation of castable is also fixed by the permanent steel drums welding nail

Advantages of using new structure of  lightweight insulation material :

1.Low thermal conductivity, good insulation effect: iron and steel ladle use nano-composite reflective insulation board. The thermal conductivity is less than 0.02w / (mk) at room temperature. With good insulation effect, the structure can prevent the iron and steel ladle from losing heat, and maintain the temperature of molten iron and steel
2. Saving space: using nano-composite reflective insulation board + ceramic fiber blanket as the insulation layer of iron and steel ladle. The thickness of layer only takes up 1/7 compared with the original heavy refractory bricks
3. Light weight, save transportation energy: weight reduced, is only 1/15 of the original weight
4. Good thermal shock resistance: ceramic fiber blanket insulation layer has good thermal shock resistance, can deal with the alternate cooling and heating caused by periodic work of iron and steel ladle
5. Strong chemical stability: the raw materials of nano-composite reflective insulation board and ceramic fiber blanket are all inorganic non-metallic materials, which has strong chemical stability, not easy affected by harsh atmosphere and oil. The surface temperature of iron and steel ladle is low, and has a long service life
6. Easy to construct: this kind of ladle, the ladle insulation layer is in the middle of the two round steel drum, as a sandwich to use. Lightweight high temperature ceramic fiber lining has good compressibility and excellent resilience. Can be compressed when installing the inner metal cylinder, and ensuring a good seal after loading back.
